Moving to a new distributed services architecture

The Aruba CX 10000 Series switches with Pensando deliver a completely new kind of switching solution that overcomes the limitations of legacy architectures. With the Aruba CX 10000 Series, operators can now extend industry-standard leaf-spine networking with Distributed Stateful Segmentation, East-West Firewall, NAT, encryption, and telemetry services.

Previously, it was impractical and expensive to centralize and force network traffic to enforce policies for distributed advanced networking and security services. Enterprises will be able to easily deploy these services at the network access layer edge where applications run.

Unified networking and security policies, automation

Aruba Fabric Composeris the unified network and security management engine for the Aruba CX 10000 Series.
In addition to handling all switch and network configurations, Aruba Fabric Composer can also define firewall policies for both switches and distributed firewalls. Aruba Fabric Composer interacts with the switches themselves and their built-in security policies.

These integrated configurations include Spine-Leaf fabric creation, VSX (MLAG) switch provisioning, OSPF/BGP underlay and BGP EVPN overlay provisioning, and integrated security policy automation across end-to-end visualization across servers, switches, NICs, hypervisors, VMs, and containers.

The Aruba CX 10000 also integrates via REST APIs, providing flow data to multiple network performance and security tools, including Advanced Security Machine Learning (XDR), Application Dependency Mapping (ADM), Network Performance Management (NPM), and SIEM/SOAR.
