Ruban's Easy Network Story: Beyond the Edge
We unravel network architectures right at the edge with a perspective sharper than anyone else's. This is a tech archive that organizes everything from the campus edge to hyperscale AI data centers in clear language.
Why 'egstory'? — The beginning of an edgy story
domain egstory.netIt captures the essence of network engineering and the unique perspective the blog pursues. Double-meaning promiseno see.
The front line of the network, Edge
In engineering EdgeIt is the most dynamic point of contact where data and people first meet infrastructure. From campus wired and wireless networks to the edges of the AIDC fabric, we delve deeply into the cutting-edge technologies where real business value is created.
Sharp and sensual, Edgy
In daily life ‘edgy’It signifies a sophisticated and keen sensibility that goes beyond the ordinary. It unravels heavy and complex enterprise networking and architecture theories in the clearest and most elegant way, from an engineer's perspective.

01. 'Aruba' and the Flamingos of Aruba Island
The design is inspired by the pink flamingo, which is the name of Aruba Networks—the foundation of this blog—and the actual symbol of the Caribbean island of Aruba. It reflects our commitment to delivering difficult and rigid infrastructure technology to everyone in a friendly and interesting way.
02. Green Smart Glasses: An Evangelist's Perspective
The green rectangular glasses worn by the flamingo are a reinterpretation of HPE's iconic Element Green color. They represent the insight of a tech evangelist who sees through the future of AI networking, cloud, and security architecture, going beyond simple operations.
03. The Wing's Digital Circuit and Unwavering Balance
The green circuits and Wi-Fi waves engraved on the wings signify hyperconnectivity encompassing wired, wireless, and security, presenting an unwavering technological milestone amidst rapidly changing IT trends, much like a flamingo maintaining perfect balance on one leg.
